"Freedom is never free"

The other day, I saw a sign which read: Our freedom came with a price.  This prompted me to think about today, November 11, Remembrance Day. As I was thinking about the sign, I thought, That's true. Our physical freedom in Canada was bought at the price of many brave Canadians' lives. But then I thought about our spiritual freedom and how it was bought at a much greater price. The price of a blameless Lamb, who sacrificed Himself for others. The great sacrifice of the many Canadian soldiers who laid down their lives for freedom pales in comparison to Jesus' perfect sacrificial death for us.

So let me encourage you on this day of remembrance, to not only remember our soldiers but to remember an occurrence that took place that was much more crucial to the history of mankind than any war. Let us remember the Cross.
