Do You Revolve Around the Son?

In my history book, I have just started studying Science and Industry in the Modern Age. (The 'Modern Age' being the past 500 years.) In it, I'm learning about people like Aristotle, the great philosopher, who taught that everything in the solar system revolved around the earth. The Roman Catholic Church (who was pretty much law back then) liked this and forbade anyone to disagree with this teaching. But then, some Christian scientists came along and said, "Hey there. Wait a minute. We found out that the earth actually revolves around the sun, not the other way around." Men like: Nicolaus Copernicus, Johannes Kepler, Galileo Galilei, and Isaac Newton changed our world with these theories. That got me thinking ...

Nowadays, the world is all about me, me, me; I, I, I. I want this. Get me that. The whole world only revolves around me. When we do this, we are acting like Aristotle. No, not in the wise sense that he was "The Philosopher." In the bad sense, that he confused the understanding of a sun-centered solar system. Our lives should not revolve around us. Our world should revolve around the Son. In case you thought you read that wrong, you didn't. I'm not talking about that orange ball of fire; I'm talking about the Son. S-O-N. Jesus Christ, God's Son, Who came and died on a cross for us.

"And behold, a voice from heaven said, 'This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.' "

Jesus was the Son. He deserves our lives and ultimate worship and praise. So, do we think that everything revolves around us, or do we revolve ourselves around the Son?
