I haven’t done a favorites list in a few months now (obviously things have been going on…) So here are the resources, moments, places, things, and memories from March to May that were my favorites.
Getting married / being married — Duh. How could this not be my #1 favorite?! My wedding was epic, but both Joe and I agreed it wasn’t the best day of our lives. It was crazy fun but it was also busy and stressful. Settling into married life has been much sweeter.
Quebec City — That’s where Joe and I went on our honeymoon, and to say we loved it was an understatement. It was the most beautiful city I’ve ever been to with some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in my life (the pastries… oh boy).
Schweppes Zero Sugar Soda — I feel like this is not really a, how you say, young person thing to like… but that has never held me back from enjoying greatness! They only have two flavors out right now: grapefruit and blood orange. Joe likes grapefruit better, but I like blood orange.
Allie Stuckey — I was just recently introduced to Allie when she was a guest on Ben Shapiro’s podcast. She is a young Christian conservative political analyst who also has an amazing podcast. But she doesn’t just talk about politics. She talks theology, and her theology is SOLID. I’m loving her voice right now.
Costco — One of our wedding presents was a membership to Costco and I am so happy. Our current favorite repeat buys are their sweet potato chips, dry roasted almonds, sausages, and almond butter. The deals are so good!!
All That is in God — Sadly, I haven’t done as much reading the last few months as I would like to. Now that we’re getting into more of a routine, I’m trying to carve out time. But one of the best books I read these past few months was All That Is In God by James Dolezal. The topic sounds a little heady (the subtitle is: Evangelical Theology and the Challenge of Classical Christian Theism) but the book is short and super readable. It is deep and it will stretch your thinking. But it will enrich your vision of God.
GLADES — I’m really into this band right now.
This eyeliner — There are three terrible things about living in Nova Scotia. One, there’s no Chick-fil-A. Two, there’s no Trader Joe’s. And three, there’s no Ulta. My one comfort is that Ulta ships to Canada… and that’s how I have this eyeliner. I hope you’ve enjoyed this sad (but somewhat redemptive) story.
Avengers: Endgame — Joe and I saw it yesterday, and it wrecked me. No spoilers, but if you’re a Marvel fan, just go see it. Right now. Just go.
What have been your favorites from the past few months?
